Not every job needs to be a massive multi-week production. This balcony needed a full rebuild - and we knocked it out in a single day. Slightly larger footprint than what was there before, but same basic idea. Just done right this time.

We went with TimberTech composite decking for the surface. If you haven't priced out composite lately, it's worth it. No staining, no sealing, no annual maintenance headaches. It holds up hard against Utah weather and still looks sharp years down the line. The warm gray tone on this one pairs really well with the existing brick and siding on this home.

The railing is Fortress - a metal panel system with a clean, modern grid pattern. It's sturdy, it's low maintenance, and it looks intentional. No wobble, no rust worries. And those corner miters on the fascia wrap? That's the kind of detail that separates a clean job from a sloppy one. Tight corners, no gaps, no filler - just precise cuts that line up exactly how they should.

Small jobs matter to us just as much as big ones. A balcony like this gets used constantly - it's the first thing you step onto when you open those back doors. It should feel solid and look good. That's exactly what this homeowner gets to walk out to now.
